Cell Phones Turned Off at ECS
The use of cell phones is prohibited in schools during the regular school day. Students should turn cell phones off upon entering the building in the morning and the phones should be kept out of sight: in lockers, bags, or pockets. The phones must remain off and stored until the final bell has rung.
Visible electronic items will be confiscated by teachers, administrators, or other school personnel. For the first offense, students will be able to reclaim the item at the end of the school day. For additional offenses, only the student’s parent or guardian will be able to retrieve the item.
During school hours, students needing to call parents or parents needing to make emergency contact with students should do so via the school office telephone.
